T5 IRQAH Project –

Creating an Urban identity with the facets of Salmani Architecture in Riyadh

Project Description:

The T5 Irqah Project by RR Architects is a step towards the design developments in the newly planned Modern Neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh. T5 IRQAH being a commercial project is a semi-traditional project that is under Section T5 of the Wadi Hanifah Urban Code. Apart from architectural solutions, the branding of the project has also been an important part of the design concept, as the new neighborhoods of Riyadh embrace modernity and a social form of living that believes in the idea of inclusivity, unifying spirit, and collaboration.

Developing the T5-Brand:

Given that T5 IRQAH aims at providing a harmonious visual experience to the users and also avenues to interact, engage and socialize.

The T5 IRQAH logo underwent many trials, sketches, and testing to reach its ultimate look with its brand signage conveying our identity and helping our customers identify the building and the landmark at large. The wayfinding signage helps customers find their way around the mall yet remains cohesive with the brand identity. The stationery of the brand allows us to promote the brand effectively to customers and business associates while they use the products.

Our Design Philosophy:

The influence of the Salmani charter in our Philosophy and Practice aims to bridge the gap between the traditional and contemporary styles of Architecture, by incorporating Artistic elements like the Ornamental fenestration on the facade and the courtyard typology. Our Modernistic approach to planning aims to alternatively define the way Saudi Arabian Architecture in Public Spaces is perceived, it explores the possibility of a New Age Design in constant interaction with its past. One of the important principles in our design practice is community engagement, we tend to design spaces that are interactive in nature and parallelly serve their prime purpose. While designing a place of urban significance, we need to explore the different characteristics of the site including the walkways, and alleys for providing convenient accessibility for visitors and a profound experience. Envisioning a green cover in the site premises, that is not only inclusive but also tends to focus on improving the climatic sphere of the immediate surroundings or context.

The T5 Irqah project, in terms of design, sets a new trend for reflecting the local architectural character for development in the city of Riyadh
