In our practice of using the Rammed Earth Construction technique in our projects, we hire and continue to collaborate with international experts who specialize in this methodology and share our pursuit for a socially sustainable and inclusive development.Therefore, we established Rammteck International Contracting firm, a construction firm that mainly depends on rammed earth. Basically Rammteck works on RR’s designs and implements them using local and environmental resources.
For Rammteck we hired experts who have long experience in rammed earth production and work based on international standards using local materials and supplies. Combining our work in RR with Rammteck will add a huge value in our culture’s architecture for the reason that it is contextual and harmonic with the Saudi heritage using our unique contemporary interpretation.
Rammed earth is a construction technique using local soil of as compaction and compact it with special equipment and methods. It is an old method, but what we are doing in Rammteck International is to revitalize it, a sustainable building technique, with different and unique aromatic approaches.
The rammed earth technique contains layers of local soil for each region, allowing it to distinguish and be special in the character of each local region. Additionally, our interest is to incorporate modern and diverse materials to give it a unique contemporary style such as marble, glass, and copper.
Rammed Earth walls are structural and they are highly resistant to compression. It is also weather resistant,
safe and durable. There is no specific measurement for the wall thickness, it varies based on the project type
and the implementation process. Rammed Earth doesn’t require any kind of finishing, therefore, it doesn’t need paints or any other chemical products. Moreover, rammed earth contains pores that allow humidity to pass through easily and balance the temperature internally and externally. Additionally, it works as acoustic barriers, which makes it an excellent alternative to conventional construction methods.
