Project info:
The project aims to design a gateway to the Holy City of Medina, a place of peace, spiritual tranquility, and the home of the last Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Our design seeks to express Islamic identity and its cultural character.
The project includes service centers for travelers upon their arrival and departure, shops along the road, and a mosque that reflects the urban ecosystem of Medina with colors inspired by the regional soil. The outer spaces and yards have been designed with ample walking and seating areas around the site.
The mosque design features partially open and shaded areas, ensuring a harmonious balance with nature and the surrounding context.
Our design is intended to engage with pilgrims and visitors to this city of great spiritual significance for the Islamic world. It also aims to reinterpret the symbolism of religious architecture in the modern era.
