Project info:

The origins of the Sabat can be traced back to Mediterranean architecture, where it was referred to as "Fina." These were public spaces used in urban environments and were designed within the periphery of houses or public buildings. They served as areas for leisure activities or transit without restricting public access. Our concept of the Sabat is inspired by its use in Islamic architecture, where it provided open corridors or passageways in villas, facilitating access to the building or temporary use by the community. In some cases, however, the Sabat could be privately owned by the building's owners.
